Customers can apply for either prescriptive rebates for air conditioning projects; or custom rebates for projects not fitting into prescriptive categories, or both. For custom rebate applications, the simple payback of the proposed project must be between two and ten years to qualify for a rebate.
Prescriptive Rebates
Rebates are available for air-conditioning upgrades for both new construction and retrofit. The specific categories, rebate levels and performance levels are outlined in the prescriptive rebate application.
Custom Rebates
Rebates are available for projects that do not fit into prescriptive rebate categories can be submitted through the Custom Rebate Application
Rebate Amount
Business and industrial customers are eligible for a maximum of $20,000, or 30% of the total project cost (whichever is less), per program year.

Infared Scanning...minimize cost, downtime and power interruptions
IPL offers infrared scanning for equipment, motors and electrical systems for commercial and industrial utility customers, to help minimize the cost, downtime and power interruptions caused by unexpected repairs to equipment.
Infrared scanning helps identify hot spots in order for preventive maintenance to be done. The temperature values shown in infrared scanning are reviewed and analyzed to identify problem areas, which would otherwise be undetectable.

.add or increase industrial electrical load with EDR
For industrial customers, IPL offers an Economic Development Rider for projects which will add or increase industrial electrical load by a minimum of 200KW.
