Grief Recovery Workshop, Tuesday1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Learn coping skills for Grief as well as meet others who share your struggle. The Grief Recovery Workshop will run every Tuesday from Oct 3rd – Nov 21st. This workshop is free for anyone seeking to share their experience with grief and wishes to learn valuable coping skills. Tour the Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum, followed by an included lunch with your choice of a Rueben or Chicken Salad Sandwich with garden salad, chips, and beverage. Drive by Earthworks, a one-acre portrait of Amelia Earhart, and the International Forest of Friendship. Public Meeting I-70 and Little Blue Parkway Interchange Project- 4:30pm - 6:30pm
The Municipal Services Department and the Missouri Department of Transportation will be hosting a meeting a public meeting for the upcoming I-70 and Little Blue Parkway Interchange Improvements Project on October 4, 2023 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm in Room 117 of the Independence Utilities Center.This will be an open house style format where citizens can learn about the updates being made to this interchange and share their questions and concerns with the engineers designing this project, and City and MoDOT staff.All are welcome to attend.
