Jumping Off
1:00 - 3:00 pm  Regular museum admission rates.  Come to the museum to prepare for your epic six month journey to Oregon!  Using a special trail guide provided as you begin, you will learn about what route you will take, investigate art to discover something about the "jumping off towns," identify items in the General Store and finally pack a wagon with a Museum Educator as your guide!  This is a wonderful way for families to discover a part of the history of westward expansion.  Great Family event.

Woodlawn Cemetery Military Marker and Soldiers Walking Tour
The secrets of Woodlawn Cemetery are unveiled as our tour guide talks about military markers and keys to unlocking genealogical treasures in the cemetery. Also learn about some of the famous and infamous Civil War soldiers buried at Woodlawn. This is a free walking tour - Rain or Shine! Tour begins at 10 a.m. for approximately 2 hours. Meet at the Sexton's cottage near the Noland Road entrance.

Blue Star Museums - National Frontier Trails Museum
May 25 - Sept. 7th 9:00 am - 4:30 pm M-Sat, 12:30 - 4:30 pm Sunday. Free admission to active duty military personnel and their families.  Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums across America to offer free admission to the nation's active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve, from Memorial Day through Labor Day.  See more at http://arts.gov/national/blue-star-museum#MO.
