George Owens Nature Park Organized Group Camp Area
Schedule your organized group camp out in the heart of our peaceful 86 acres of parkland. Check out one or all of the park’s five hiking trails, fish our lakes, or explore any of the natural areas at your own pace.
Organized Group Camp Area Amenities
- Recycling and Trash: Bins are available in the Lodge lobby for aluminum and plastic recycling, please talk with staff if you are interested. Campground trash containers must be emptied in the dumpster at the end of your rental. The dumpster is located at the northeast corner of the parking lot.
- Firewood: All firewood is provided. To prevent the spread of tree killing insects and diseases, No outside wood is allowed. This protects the woods at George Owens Nature Park and the wildlife that call it home. Do not cut standing trees.
- Fire Pit: Enjoy the warmth of a roaring fire gathered around our limestone rimmed fire pit. Share your favorite campfire stories – true or tall tale. Fires are only allowed inside the fire pit. No smoking is allowed in this area. You will have access to water for your stay and to put out your fire.
- Picnic Tables: Picnic tables are in the camp area for you use. Please keep them clean for the next group.
- Parking: Parking is located up at the main parking lot near the Lodge. Vehicle access is limited to TWO vehicles on the service road and campground for loading and unloading only. For the safety of all park visitors, shuttling of rental guests and equipment is not allowed. Vehicles must stay on paved surfaces. Rental guests must park their cars in the parking lot the entire time of stay.
