Each group carries out different tasks crucial to the running of a police department. From the patrol unit doing vacation checks, to the administration unit filing paper work, the VIPS constantly help over a wide range of interest.
The VIPS, whose total hours some years has exceeded 5000 hours, have become an essential role in the day to day function of the Independence Police Department.
