Rock Creek Pump Station

400 North Kentucky, Independence, MO 64053

Services the Rock Creek Watershed, one of the oldest and most densely populated areas of the City and is designed to pump 18 million gallons per day to the wastewater treatment facility. Flows in excess of 18 million gallons per day are pumped to peak flow clarifiers (for retention) each having a 1.8 million gallon capacity. The station is equipped with aerated grit chambers and automated bar screens, which remove sand, grit, rags, and sticks.

 

Sugar Creek Pump Station

10600 Hayworth Rd, Independence, MO 64053

Services the Sugar Creek Watershed and the majority of the population in the Mill Creek Watershed.  The station is designed to pump 10 million gallons per day to the wastewater treatment facility. It is equipped with automated bar screens to remove large debris, such as rags and sticks.
