Independence is working to address healthful food disparities, reduce health disparities, and decrease cases of COVID-19 in Independence residents.

Populations being served will include racial and ethnic minority groups residing in Independence as well as those with a disability, living in poverty, and/or without computer access.

These activities align with the Statewide Health Disparities Initiative’s goals of reducing COVID-19 related disparities and control of infection/transmission.
