For immediate release: October 11, 2017

An Endangered Silver Advisory alert has been issued for Wesley I. Mattonen, an 88 year old Independence man with Alzheimer’s.

Wesley is a white male, 5’9”, 125 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last wearing a white shirt, beige cargo pants and black shoes. He was last seen driving a brown colored 2009 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with a matching brown camper shell. Missouri license plate 3HM-705.

Wesley left his residence in the 12500 block of E. 39th Terrace, Independence, MO in the pickup headed in an unknown direction at 9:45 AM this morning. His family believes he may try to visit one of the Aldis grocery stores on 23rd Street in Independence, the Genesis Health Clubs at 3850 S. Crackerneck Road or the Costco in Independence.
