Help Identify Attempted Armed Robbery Suspect


Independence Police are trying to identify a suspect in an attempted armed robbery. On August 19, at approximately 7:50 p.m. the suspect entered a service station located at 9013 E. US 40 Hwy, Independence, MO and attempted to rob the cashier. The suspect pointed a handgun at the employee, the employee fled, and the suspect left the station headed westbound on foot.


The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a black ball cap, white polo shirt, dark colored jeans, and black shoes with white along the bottom edge of the shoes.
