INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Kansas City Field Division and the Independence Police Department today announced that ATF is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the theft of firearms from Bass Pro Shop.

Following a report of an intrusion alarm, the Independence Police Department was dispatched to Bass Pro Shop, located at 18001 Bass Pro Drive, just after 3 a.m. on Feb.13. Several long guns were stolen during the burglary.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by ATF and the Independence Police Department. Anyone with the information about the incident is urged to call ATF at 1-800-ATF-GUNS (1-800-283-4867) or the Independence Police Department at 816-325-7300.
