The historic Truman Memorial Building is a great place for all your business and special event needs. We can provide you with meeting space for less than 10 and banquet space for up to 325 people. The facility houses an Auditorium/Gymnasium with a capacity to hold over 1,000 participants. For conferences we can provide a classroom setting or a boardroom for large committee meetings. The facility is available to rent for private functions including baby showers, retirement parties, wedding receptions, and class reunions. We encourage you to visit us for a tour of the facility and to discuss how we may meet your event planning needs. The facility entrance is located on Pleasant Street, at street level, directly opposite the Palmer Center.

The Independence Table Tennis Club meets at the Truman Memorial Building. The club is open to all residents for singles or doubles play. The level of play includes novices and serious competitive players.
