Performs general maintenance in the Parks/Recreation/Tourism Department. Operates trucks, trailers, mowers, trimmers, and various equipment. Performs minor repair and maintenance tasks, including turf mowing and trimming, litter and trash removal, painting, graffiti removal, and other grounds maintenance duties including cemetery maintenance, as assigned. Assists with seasonal City snow removal and performs other park maintenance related duties.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of safe and proper use of hand tools, string trimmers, mowers, and various equipment. Skilled in use of hand tools, mowers, tractor, trimmers, dump truck, mower, compressor, and generator. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Requires Class B permit prior to hire, and obtain license within the first six months of hire. Must complete required NIMS level training within first six months of hire. Physical Demands: Outdoor work 95% of the time. Must be able to bend and lift 75 lbs., plus or minus 25 lbs. Typical Working Conditions: Outdoor conditions include extreme heat and cold, adverse weather.

Hours of work 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with rotating schedule to include some evenings/weekends.
