  • International Association of Fire Fighters Local 781 - The men and women employed by the Independence Fire Department are a proud and dedicated group of individuals and have been proudly and faithfully represented by local 781 of the IAFF since forming our local back in 1944.

  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), located in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, is an agency of the Department of Health and Human Services. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) performs many of the administrative functions for the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), a sister agency of CDC, and one of eight federal public health agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services.

  • Missouri Department of Health - The Missouri Department of Health oversees many health services across the state of Missouri. They have information on their services, publications, licensing and certification, and much more on their website.
  • American Medical Response - American Medical Response is the nation's largest private provider of medical transportation. Operating in 36 states, AMR employs over 20,875 persons in 265 operating sites.
  • Occupational Safety & Health Administration - OSHA and its state partners have approximately 2100 inspectors, plus complaint discrimination investigators, engineers, physicians, educators, standards writers, and other technical and support personnel spread over more than 200 offices throughout the country. This staff establishes protective standards, enforces those standards, and reaches out to employers and employees through technical assistance and consultation programs.
  • U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission - CPSC is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risks of injury or death associated with the use of the thousands of types of consumer products under the agency's jurisdiction. Deaths, injuries, and property damage from consumer product incidents cost the nation more than $1 trillion annually. CPSC is committed to protecting consumers and families from products that pose a fire, electrical, chemical, or mechanical hazard. CPSC's work to ensure the safety of consumer products - such as toys, cribs, power tools, cigarette lighters, and household chemicals - contributed to a decline in the rate of deaths and injuries associated with consumer products over the past 40 years.
