American Solar Challenge: From Mule Power to Solar Power

Join us as 13 teams from across the nation begin the American Solar Challenge on the Independence Square. Public vehicle display time is from Noon - 7pm. Each team will be setup to display and prepare their vehicle before they take off Tuesday morning, Aug 3 at 9am Solar cars will leave the Independence Square Aug 3, South of the Historic Truman Courthouse on W Lexington Ave.The American Solar Challenge is a competition to design, build, and drive solar-powered cars in a cross-country time/distance rally event. Teams compete over a 1,500-2,000 mile course between multiple cities across the country.
