Becoming a Community for All Ages

Creating a Great Place to Live and Age Well in the City of Independence

City of Independence residents are invited to attend the city’s upcoming Planning Commission meetings to provide input on the city’s efforts to address multi-generational planning and community development for people of all ages and abilities.

The Planning Commission will discuss various assessment topics and make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council regarding steps toward a more "age friendly" community.  Please join in the discussion at City Hall, Council’s Chambers on the ground floor at 6 pm, on the second and, or the fourth Tuesday.
