A pre-development meeting marks the kick-off of the development process. It provides an opportunity for the developer/applicant to ask specific questions related to their project and for city staff to outline the processes, time lines, permits, and fees associated with the project. An exchange of information early in the development process often makes the rest of the development go more smoothly. Staff representatives from Development Services, Building Inspections, Regulated Industries, Fire, Municipal Services, Water, and Power & Light will participate as necessary.
In order to provide the best possible pre-development experience, the city requires the developer/applicant to review the information below prior to the meeting.
You will also be asked to provide preliminary plans and a brief description of the project when you make your meeting request. Pre-development meetings are scheduled Tuesdays and Thursday between the hours of 10:00 and Noon and 1:30 and 3:00.
