Independence Utilities offers
you a choice of the following seven methods to pay your monthly combined utility
bill.
Average Payment Plan
The City of Independence Utilities offers the average payment plan to help customers
budget their monthly utility bills. Each month, customers will be billed an average
of the previous 12 months of usage. To qualify for the average payment plan, customers
must have an acceptable credit history. For additional information contact Customer

Automated Bank Draft Authorization
By enrolling in Automated Payment Service, your regularly scheduled utility bill
will be paid automatically from your checking account by your bank on the day your
payment is due - and it's free!
Complete and return the
Automated Bank Draft Authorization Form to
the City of Independence Utilities Customer Service Office at 11610 E. Truman Road,
Independence, MO 64050. For account verification, please enclose a voided check
or photocopy of check on the bank or other financial institution account from which
you would like future utility bills deducted.

Pay By Mail
The traditional method. Pay your bill with a personal check or money order upon
receipt of your bill.
Pay Stations
If you wish to pay in person, Independence Utilities offers a number of pay stations
for our customers convenience. Call Customer Service at (816) 325-7930 for a location
nearest you.
Interactive Telephone Service 325-SERV
Independence Utilities offers interactive telephone service that allows our customers
to pay their bill with a credit or debit card. Call 325-SERV, punch in your access
code shown on your bill along with your personal identification number. It's that
easy!
Utilities On-Line
Take advantage of the time-saving power of the Internet with our Utilities On-Line
service. You can view your account balance, usage history, payment history as
well as pay your bill with a credit or debit card. It's fast and secure!
