Location: 875 Vista Avenue, 1 mile east of M-291 on Truman Road
8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sundays
10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Mondays
Location: 13600 E. 35th Street, 1/2 mile west of Noland Road
10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Fridays
8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturdays
The recycling centers will be closed on the following City holidays:
Martin Luther King Day - Monday, Jan. 20 President's Day - Monday, Feb. 17
Memorial Day - Monday, May 26 Independence Day - Friday, July 4
Labor Day - Monday, Sept. 1 Thanksgiving - Friday, Nov. 28
Acceptable items include office paper, magazines, newspaper, cardboard and paperboard, steel, tin and aluminum, plastic #1 - 7, plastic shopping bags, glass, toner and ink cartridges, and rechargeable and dry cell batteries. Styrofoam is not accepted. Materials must be separated and placed in the appropriate bins.
The Recycling Centers also accept electronics, appliances, air conditioners and lawn and garden equipment. You may bring TVs, DVD and VHS players, computer monitors, towers and peripherals, stereos, gaming systems and cell phones. Fluids must be drained from lawn mowers, weed eaters, snow blowers, etc.
All items are free except some televisions:
$15 - 27" and smaller TVs
$35 - TVs larger than 27", console & projection TVs and any with a wood shell
Free - All LCD, plasma and LED flat-screen TVs of any size
