For immediate release: October 30, 2013

Shooting Victim

At approximately 1:45 a.m. this morning, Independence Police were called to the 400 block of N. Grand on a reported shooting. When officers arrived they found a white male in his 30’s lying in the street who appeared to be the victim of a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be a serious injury to the head. There is no report at this time as to his condition.

After the shooting, the suspects went southbound on foot on N. Grand toward Truman Rd. Police are looking for two men. One is described as possibly a white male, approximately 5’ 10” tall, stocky build, having short dark color hair. There is no description at this time on the other suspect.
