Resources available for Independence residents impacted by recent storms

 

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The City of Independence is encouraging residents who suffered losses during recent storms to take action to address their disaster related needs. Residents can visit with agencies and relief workers in person at the Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) tomorrow, Tuesday, August 29, located at Southview Christian Church, 13608 Norby Road, Grandview, Mo., from 1 to 7 p.m. 

 

In addition, residents who have home or property damage should contact their insurance agents to begin the claims process. Residents with additional unmet disaster needs after insurance and personal resources are utilized, should contact United Way 211 (dial 2-1-1 from your land-line or cell phone) and/or call the American Red Cross  at 816-931-8400 or online at redcross.org/get-help.
