City of Independence, Missouri

ETC Survey

Results of the seventh citizen survey show Independence residents generally have a positive perception of the City and believe the City is moving in the right direction.

The survey was conducted in late 2013 by ETC Institute of Olathe, KS, to help determine priorities for the community as part of the City's on-going strategic planning process.

The seven-page survey was mailed to a random sample of City of Independence residents in each of the four City Council Districts. It included most of the same questions asked in previous years for more accurate comparison. In total, 610 households completed surveys. The results have a 95 percent level of confidence with a precision of at least +/- 3.9 percent.
