The City of Independence is currently preparing the 2010-2015 Consolidated Plan as required by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Consolidated Plan will be used to guide the future use of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) funds.
 
An integral step in the Consolidated Planning process is to gather input from City residents and other interested persons or groups regarding housing, public services, community facilities, infrastructure and economic development needs of City residents. The following surveys will assist the City of Independence in identifying areas of need in order to better allocate CDBG grant and HOME funds. Please complete either the full 17-question or shortened two-question survey to the best of your ability. No personally identifiable information will be shared.
