American Veteran
The American Veteran reports stories of interest and value to veterans, their families and the public.  The Department of Veterans Affairs produces this 1/2-hour monthly program.  Closed captioned.

Army Newswatch
Produced every two weeks, this program updates the viewer on news from the United States Army and its forces around the globe. A production of Soldiers Radio and Television. Closed captioned. 30 minutes.

Capitol Dialogue
This monthly program engages the viewer in round-table discussion of events in Jefferson City with Missouri’s state legislators.  A production of Senate Communications.  30 minutes.



City Council
Council meetings and study sessions are shown LIVE from City Hall at 6 p.m. each Monday (except holidays and 5th Mondays).  Each session is also rebroadcast throughout the following week.  A production of the Independence Communications Division. Length varies (with six-hour tape playback limit).

Finding Missouri
Finding Missouri is a series of 18 videos, each focusing on a particular topic in Missouri history.  City 7 presents a few videos at a time each week. They feature documentary film footage, reenactments of historical events, footage of historical sites and interviews with experts.  Funded by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and the Historical Preservation Section of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.  Closed captioned.  Length varies.



In the Fight
Digital Video and Imagery Distribution System presents this monthly half-hour program.  In the Fight showcases the latest military action from the field in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain.

Jackson County Legislature
The Jackson County Legislature’s weekly meetings are videotaped for later broadcast on City 7.  A production of the Jackson County  Executive’s Office.  Two-hour playback limit.

This monthly program gives viewers the latest news on happenings in the Missouri State Legislature.  A production of Senate Communications.  30 minutes.



Missouri Outdoors
Learn about the natural habitats around the state.  Subjects include hunting safety, animal profiles, and even some tasty recipes!  A production of the Missouri Department of Conservation.  Episodes run weekly.  Closed captioned.  30 minutes.

NASA 360
NASA 360 teaches real-life applications of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This magazine-style program highlights NASA’s impact on daily lives, showcasing some of the 30,000 inventions developed by NASA over the past 50 years. National Gallery of Art
The National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. houses one of the finest collections in the world illustrating major achievements in painting, sculpture, decorative arts, and works on paper from the Middle Ages to the present.  The Gallery preserves, collects, and exhibits works of art at the highest possible museum and scholarly standards.  Program topics vary.  Length varies.

Planning Commission
The Independence Planning Commission is a volunteer body appointed by the City Council to oversee development in Independence.  Their twice-monthly meetings can be seen LIVE from City Hall at 6:30 p.m. the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays (following the first Monday) of each month.  Each meeting is also rebroadcast throughout the period between live meetings.  A production of the Independence Communications Division. Working Fire
