Independence Health Department Director Larry Jones reports that the Independence Animal Shelter is filled to capacity. Rescues and adoptions are desperately needed.

Now is a great time to add to your furry family! Adoption fees for cats have been reduced to $50 and dog adoption fees are reduced to $60 while the Shelter remains full. All adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations.
