Beginning Monday, July 30, the Independence Animal Shelter will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with pet adoptions beginning at 11 a.m.

According to Health Director Larry Jones, this change should make it more convenient for families to reconnect with a lost pet or to adopt a new pet.
