If a patron does not have a face covering, one will be provided to them. Cooling center patrons are also required to stay in the lobby area which is set up to adhere to social distancing and are not allowed access to the workout areas.

The cooling center will be open the following hours each day:

Saturday, July 18 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, July 19 – 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Citizens should take precautions to protect themselves, their families and their pets during this dangerous heat. When wearing a face covering in the summer please make sure it fits so that it is snug on the sides but loose over the nose and mouth. Choose a light-colored, breathable fabric, such as cotton, if you are wearing it outside. If possible, you should avoid strenuous outdoor activities and schedule work outdoors during the early morning or late afternoon when temperatures are cooler. Bring a spare face covering in case yours gets sweaty and a bag to put it in until you can wash it at home. If breathing becomes difficult, please take off your face covering. It is important to remain well hydrated, drinking non-alcoholic beverages throughout the day. Finally, please never leave children or pets in the car, even for a few minutes.
