(INDEPENDENCE, Mo.) Wednesday, May 7, 2014 – The Harry S. Truman Award for Public Service will be presented to Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, II at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10 on the steps of the Harry S. Truman Library & Museum, 500 W. U.S. Highway 24. The public is invited to the ceremony and reception, which will be held in the lobby immediately following the ceremony. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be in the Library’s auditorium.
In addition to the Public Service Award presentation to Congressman Cleaver, the Missouri Mavericks organization will receive the Harry S. Truman Special Recognition Award for 2014.
