INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The City of Independence released the following statement from City Manager Zach Walker in regards to the renewal of the Streets Sales Tax tonight by citizens.
“Since 1998, the citizens of Independence have voted to support a common goal – safe, sound roadways for residents and visitors alike. With the renewal of the Streets Sales Tax tonight, citizens have helped ensure that not only will we be able to maintain our nearly 600 miles of streets but that we will also be able to continue leveraging local, state and federal partnerships to improve some of our major corridors.
We encourage citizens to learn more about the projects the Streets Sales Tax makes possible at indep.us/streetssalestax and whenever they have questions or concerns regarding roads in their area, please call (816)325-7600.”
