New Trails and Trail Expansions:

Waterfall Park to Little Blue Trace Trail:

This multi-use trail will link parks, residential areas, hotels, shops and restaurants in the Eastland Center area to The Falls of Crackerneck Creek. The Waterfall Park Trail will join the Little Blue Trace Trail in the near future to further extend the connection north to Hartman Heritage Center, Independence Center, Independence Commons, the Jackson Drive Trail, the Little Blue Expressway Trail and the new 39th Street Trail.

The Rock Creek Trail:

The Rock Creek Trail is a 10-foot wide crushed stone surface that travel alongside Rock Creek in western Independence. It crosses the creek four times and connects Rotary
Park just south of 23rd Street to Country Club Park near Norton Ave and 30th Street. Once inside each park the trail turns to asphalt and loops around the park’s perimeter.
