ATF RELEASES SURVEILLANCE FOOTAGE OF INDEPENDENCE BASS PRO SHOP BURGLARY
NATIONAL SHOOTING SPORTS FOUNDATION OFFERS MATCHING REWARD
INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Kansas City Field Division and Independence Police Department today released surveillance footage in their on-going investigation of the Feb. 13 burglary and firearms theft at Bass Pro Shop.
Following the report of an intrusion alarm, the Independence Police Department was dispatched to Bass Pro Shop, located at 18001 Bass Pro Drive, just after 3 a.m. on Feb.13, and discovered the burglary and firearms theft.
"We are continuing to develop very solid information in this case and are hopeful that with the release of the surveillance footage and the additional reward money offered by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, that those in the community who have information will contact us," said John Ham, ATF Public Information Officer.
ATF had previously announced a reward in the case of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the theft, but today announced the reward was being matched by the National Shooting Sports Foundation; bringing the total possible reward for information to $10,000.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by ATF and the Independence Police Department.
