How can I find out the status of the position I applied for?Applications are reviewed by the department and Human Resources after the closing date has expired; the exception is on positions posted "open until filled".
Once the position is closed (or at varying intervals for postings without closing dates):
- the department and Human Resouces review the applications
- candidates are selected to be placed on an interview list
- the department contacts the interview candidates
After an interview list is established, the position will appear under Status of Closed Jobs. If you have not been contacted by phone or received an e-mail, you may contact Human Resources at 325-7390 to find out if you are on the interview list.

If I completed a typing test for a specific position, can it be used for other positions I wish to apply for?Yes. Typing tests will be kept on file. Typing tests do not need to be retaken for separate positions, but the applicant must contact Human Resources at 816-325-7390 to request the typing test taken previously be attached to the new application.
