The best way to prepare for a disaster is to get involved. Preparing and Responding to a disaster in your community requires a large staff of trained volunteers to respond when first responders are overwhelmed. Be empowered and take action today! Find a local Volunteer Organization Active in Disasters (VOAD), or consider volunteering with Independence Emergency Preparedness.
