AHA Family and Friends CPR Classes

The Independence Parks/Recreation/Tourism Department will be offering the American Heart Association Family and Friends CPR course. This course will teach participants how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants. The course will also teach the use of an AED for an adult, along with providing aid to those with an airway blockage. Family & Friends CPR is intended for anyone who wants to learn CPR, but does not need a CPR course completion card to meet a job requirement. This course is ideal for community groups, parents, grandparents, caregivers, schools and students, and others interested in learning how to save a life. Cost: $30 per person – Registration is required in advance When: Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Or Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Location: Roger T. Sermon Community Center 201 Dodgion St. Independence, MO 64050 To register, please call the Sermon Center at 816-325-7370 *Minimum number of participants is 3 per class. Maximum number of participants is 8 per class. **REFUND POLICY: All cancellation requests must be made 48 hours prior to the start of the class to receive a refund. For cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start of the class, a $15 fee will be charged.
