Independence Comprehensive Plan Update
The City of Independence is updating the Comprehensive Plan; the first update since 1993. The Comprehensive Plan is a document that identifies the vision, values and priorities of a community for the next 15-20 years.
The Plan is called “Imagine Independence 2040 – A Community Vision”. The first and most important step is listening to residents, and getting your opinion, to ensure we are on the right track.
The Plan is split into four topics:
- Business & Jobs
- Neighborhoods & Housing
- Community Identity
- Public Facilities
