Loan Program to Finance Energy Efficiency A new low-interest loan program is available to qualifying Independence homeowners to fi nance energy efficiency improvements for their residence.
Eco-Friendly Greenhouse The City of Independence now operates a greenhouse under the Parks & Recreation Grounds Division. The 6,000 square foot eco-friendly greenhouse has in-floor heating which comes from the methane created at a nearby landfill.
